Since completing a B.A in Fashion Design at Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in 1987, and a Graduate Diploma in Theatre Design in 1999 at the Victorian College of the Arts, Amanda has worked extensively in the fashion Industry as a designer in Australia, India and HongKong, and as a set and costume designer for numerous theatre and dance companies. Her costume design credits include costumes for the Women’s Circus – Ghosts, Secrets and Batman’s Grab for the Federation Parade, costume design for the West Australian Ballet for Simone Clifford’s A State of Grace and most recently for Natalie Weir’s Beyond Tears. Her set and costume design credits include Designer Child For Rawcus Theatre, and Polygraph and The B File for Theatre @ Risk.

Amanda has designed and made some unusual costumes including stilt walking costumes for Styx Performing Troupe and Her Royal Highnesses, costumes for three metre high puppets for the Snuff Puppets and Back to Back Theatre for the stadium show Boomtown and a Grecian column (made from foam and latex) for Lana Schwarcz to name but a few.

Amanda has worked in film and television and was employed as Wardrobe Senior/ supervisor for Network Ten. Most recently Amanda has been lecturing at the Victorian College of the Arts in costume making and design.

Amanda’s costume making credits include: costumes for  Li’l Horrors, Circus Oz, Chamber Made Opera and numerous VCA productions.
